Open Structure Files

The file opening and file inserting functions are separated since version 6.2 of JChem for Excel. You can use the Insert Single Structures function on multiple structure files, but in this case, only the first structure is inserted.

Use this function to open the following basic file types:

  • Single structure files: The structure is imported to the first column of an empty worksheet. The same file formats are supported as in the case of Import from File.

  • Multiple structure files: All the structures from the selected file are imported to the first column of an empty worksheet. The same file formats are supported as in the case of Import from File.

  • Multiple structure files with data: All the structures with corresponding are imported to an empty worksheet. The same file formats are supported as in the case of Import from File.
