ChemLocator allows the data that was indexed to be filtered using permissions. There are 3 types of permissions that can be applied in ChemLocator:
All the information that was extracted from the documents that come from a content source with this permission type enabled will be available to all ChemLocator users.
This option is available for:
This type of permission can be enabled by disabling Allow everyone and enabling Use file permissions when creating a content source.
When this option is enabled, search results will be trimmed based on the permissions that were valid when ChemLocator crawled the data. This means that any changes in permissions after a crawl will require an incremental crawl of the content source.
The custom permissions allow ChemLocator administrators to define which of the application users can access the data that is indexed from a content source that uses this type of permissions.
To define this type of permissions disable Allow everyone and Use file permissions when creatig a content source.
Next, add user accounts (e.g.jdoe for LDAP, jdoe@mycompany.com for cloud accounts) or groups of users that will have have access to data that is indexed from this content source.
