Structures and other data can be copied to the clipboard from a Microsoft Word or OneNote document, a PowerPoint presentation, or an Outlook email message. After copying the structure to the clipboard, it can be pasted to another part of the same document, presentation, email message or a part of another document, presentation, or email message.
Both the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V keyboard shortcuts and the Copy and Paste ribbon buttons can be used for copying and pasting structures and other data.
Select a document, presentation, or email message that contains a single structure.
Select the single structure and press Ctrl+C.
Select an empty part of the same document, presentation, or email message or select an empty part of another document, presentation, or email message and press Ctrl+V.
The structure is pasted to the selected document, presentation, or email message.
Select a document, presentation, or email message that contains a table with structures and other data.
Select a table containing structures and other data and press Ctrl+C.
Select an empty part of the same document, presentation, or email message or select an empty part of another document, presentation, or email message and press Ctrl+V.
The table with structures and other data is pasted into the selected document, presentation, or email message.
The format of the structure (Image or OLE) is kept in these cases.
When copying from Excel and pasting to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, or Outlook, the original settings specified in the Structure Display Options of the starting Excel sheet will be kept after pasting as well. Local structure display settings will be applied only after editing the structures in PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
