Marvin with JChem for Office Lite

Using MS Office with Marvin Elite License:

Marvin seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Office, enabling smooth copy–paste and editing workflows for chemical structures across Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

To copy and paste chemical structures from Marvin into MS Office, install JChem for Office Lite.

To enable structure editing within Office applications, you will need a Marvin Elite license.

Setting up the License for JChem for Office Lite:

  1. After installing JChem for Office Lite, open any Microsoft Office application.
  2. Naviagte to JChem ribbon > Licenses
  3. Upload License Key: Paste the key into the input bar and click Apply.

Using Marvin in MS Office applications:

After installation, it is strongly recommended to set Marvin as the structure editor in all supported Office applications for the best experience.

  1. Open any Office application
  2. Go to JChem ribbon > Options > Structure Editor.
  3. Select Marvin from the dropdown menu.

This configuration ensures a smooth and convenient workflow across all supported MS Office products.
