To External Applications

The following copy-paste scenarios are supported in the case of external applications:

  • Single structures between external structure editors or other Office applications in MOL file format.
  • Multiple structures and other data in Chemaxon format. This format is developed for copying structure and data information in table format from Excel to other Office applications.

Copy-Paste function works between Microsoft Excel and Marvin Sketch or any other external structure editors supporting the MDL CT format.

Copy a Single Structure to an External Editor

  1. Select a single structure.

  2. Right-click to bring up the context menu.

  3. Click Copy.

  4. Click **Paste ** in the target application.

Paste a Single Structure from an External Editor

  1. Copy the structure to the clipboard in the external editor. The MarvinSketch, ChemDraw, ISIS Draw, and Symyx Draw structure editors are supported by this function.

  2. Select the target cell where you want to copy the structure.

  3. Right-click to bring up the context menu.

  4. Click Paste Structure.
