Insert Single Structures

It is possible to insert single structures from a wide variety of file formats. You can use files with a single structure or with multiple structures. In the case of files with multiple structures, only the first structure is inserted.

The file opening and file inserting functions are separated since version 6.2 of JChem for Excel.

The following file formats are supported:

• MOL,

• MRV

• RDF

• SDF

• SDF V3000

• SMILES

• CDX

• SKC

To insert a single structure, follow the steps below.

1. Select an empty cell on a worksheet.

2. Click the Insert button on the ribbon or the Insert Structure button in the context menu.
   

3. Select a file that contains the structure in the appropriate format.
   

4. The structure is displayed in the selected cell.
