Copy and Paste Single Structures

    It is possible to copy and paste a single structure into another Microsoft Office application—including Microsoft Excel—or into a structure editor.

    1. Select a Microsoft Word or OneNote document, a PowerPoint presentation, or an Outlook email message, that contains a single structure.

    2. Select a single structure and copy it to the clipboard by pressing the Copy button on the JChem ribbon.

    3. Paste the structure to one of the following:

      • A structure editor application, for example, Marvin, ISIS Draw, Symyx Draw, ChemDraw. It is possible to paste the structure into the structure editor window.

      • An Excel workbook, in this case, the structure can be pasted into an empty cell as JCSYSStructure by using the Paste button on the ribbon or by accessing it through the context menu.

      • A Word or OneNote document, PowerPoint presentation, or an Outlook email message, in these cases, the structure can be pasted by pressing the Paste button on the ribbon.

    In the case of Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and Outlook email messages, the structure will be pasted in Office Image format.
