Structure Renderer Options in JChem for Office Lite

Changing the structure renderer in JChem for Office Lite can be done through the context menu.

Right-click on a structure and navigate to JChem for Office > Structure Renderer.

When installing JChem for Office Lite on a new environment and no user.config files can be found, then the render is automatically set to Autodetect when these files are created.

If user.config files from a previous installation are found, the renderer and editor options stored in the files will be used.

The user.config files can be found in the following locations:

Renderer Description Example
Marvin Sets Marvin as the renderer and applies the unique drawing style of it to the rendered structures. Your browser does not support the HTML5 video element
MarvinSketch Sets MarvinSketch as the renderer and applies the unique drawing style of it to the rendered structures. Your browser does not support the HTML5 video element
ChemDraw Sets ChemDraw as the renderer and applies the unique drawing style of it to the rendered structures. Your browser does not support the HTML5 video element
Autodetect Automatically detects the most appropriate renderer for any given format ( Marvin for CXON, MarvinSketch for MRV and ChemDraw for CDX/CDXML). Your browser does not support the HTML5 video element
