Running Reactor

After selecting the desired reactions, providing the reactants and setting the Reactor options, you are ready to start your virtual synthesis.

In the running phase of Reactor, the engine combines the reactant molecules according to the selected reaction in either combinatorial or sequential mode (reactant combination).

    Example

We set up a simple esterification reaction with Reactor. The reaction Esterification of alcohols can be found in the reaction library so we selected this reaction.

We provided a set of carboxylic acids and alcohols as reactants.

Reactor combines the reactants to provide the corresponding esters.
