Edit Structures in the Task Pane

    It is possible to add a new structure to an Excel cell or edit an existing one by using the task pane hosted editor. To toggle the task pane hosted editor, click the Editor Pane button.

    When opening the task pane hosted editor, the canvas is empty in the following cases:

    • Nothing is selected.

    • The selected cell does not contain a structure.

    • More than one cell is selected (in this case, editing is not possible).

    By default, when adding or editing structures, the system does not ask for confirmation.

    You can enable confirmation dialogs by checking the Confirmation on change checkbox at the bottom-left corner of the window.

    Add a Structure to a Cell by Using the Editor Pane

    1. Select an empty cell and click the Editor Pane button.

    2. Draw a structure in the task pane hosted editor.

    3. When finished, update the cell by either navigating to another cell or closing the editor.

    Edit a Structure in a Cell by Using the Editor Pane

    1. Select a single cell that contains a structure and click the Editor Pane button.

    2. Edit the structure as needed in the task pane hosted editor.

    3. When finished, update the cell by either navigating to another cell or closing the editor.
